LMNO embraces World Peace

By Barry Walsh

LMNO Productions is championing the cause of world peace with an upcoming project – Los Angeles Lakers star Metta World Peace, that is.

The LA-based prodco is currently in development on a hidden camera prank show with the basketball player, titled Metta World Pranks. The series will feature World Peace and other professional athletes taking part in practical jokes involving families, friends, boyfriends, girlfriends, fans, and other athletes.

“Pranking and practical jokes are part of the athletic culture, so it comes naturally to Metta,” said Eric Schotz, president and CEO of LMNO Productions. “Metta has a great sense of humor and this show will be a natural vehicle for him to showcase a side of his personality we don’t get to see on the court.”

“This particular show will give me the opportunity to be funny, creative and entertain audiences – all while being able to collaborate with my friends and colleagues,” added World Peace, who is partnering with LMNO on the project via his Artest Media Group (the basketball star was formerly known as Ron Artest before legally changing his name in 2011). “I can’t think of a show idea that is more fun and a perfect fit for me.”

A network partner has not yet been attached to the project.
