The Little Couple recently introduced fans to their son William, whom they adopted from China – and now, PEOPLE has obtained a sweet sneak peek of the little boy getting his first glimpse at his new mom and dad.
As Dr. Jennifer Arnold and Bill Klein begin packing their bags for a multiple city China trip to pick up their boy on their reality show, Arnold tells her husband, "I got an email this morning, and Karen at the foster home … took pictures to show him seeing [pictures of] us for the first time."
Reflecting on her son's possible reaction to the photos, Arnold says, "It was absolutely amazing to see the pictures of Will looking at us for the first time … It's hard to know exactly what he's thinking. He looked happy at least. He didn't look upset or disappointed like, 'Oh, man, crap. That's where I'm going home to?' "
Will's full name is William Rijin, which means "golden sun" in Chinese. Like his parents, Will has a form of dwarfism, which lessened his chances of being adopted.
"Even though we may have not given birth to Will, I know that he was meant to be our kid," Arnold says. "I think it was destiny that we ended up together. Hopefully he'll feel the same way."
Since this episode was filmed, the pair their announced to PEOPLE earlier this month that they are adopting a 19-month-old girl from India named Zoey.
The Little Couple airs Tuesdays at 10:00 p.m. ET on TLC.
