While the Los Angeles Lakers continue their on-court woes this season, Metta World Peace is eyeing a business win with his forthcoming prank series, “Metta World Pranks.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 33-year-old Lakers Forward has partnered with LMNO Productions (on behalf of his Artest Media Group) to develop the “Punk’d”-esque series, which will revolve around athletes playing practical jokes on one another.

"Pranking and practical jokes are part of the athletic culture, so it comes naturally to Metta," LMNO Productions president and CEO Eric Schotz said to The Hollywood Reporter. "Metta has a great sense of humor and this show will be a natural vehicle for him to showcase a side of his personality we don't get to see on the court."

"This particular show will give me the opportunity to be funny, creative and entertain audiences -- all while being able to collaborate with my friends and colleagues,” World Peace added. “I can't think of a show idea that is more fun and a perfect fit for me."

Since signing with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2009 the Queensbridge, N.Y. native -- formerly known as Ron Artest -- has managed to make his foray into Hollywood by appearing in “Think Like A Man,” “Yo Gabba Gabba!,” and “Dancing With The Stars” to name a few.

Upon landing his debut role as a detective in the Lifetime original film, “The Eleventh Victim,” World Peace took to his Twitter account last year to express his excitement. “November 3rd!!!! My First long movie!!! The Metta man will be in LifeTime network. ‘The Eleventh Victim’ Playing a detective and.......Who wanna party with me on Saturday???”

"Metta World Pranks" is currently being shopped to various television networks, and doesn’t have a set air date.
