California United Bank to Honor Brothers Jon Schotz & Eric Schotz with Its Annual Community Service Award

California United Bank (OTCBB: CUNB) today announced that Jon Schotz and Eric Schotz will be the recipients of the Annual CUB Community Service Award. Presentation of the award will take place at the dinner following CUB’s 3rd Annual Golf Tourney on October 26, 2009, at El Caballero Country Club in Tarzana. Proceeds from the event will go to the Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley to help support its programs that benefit more than 2,500 children each year.

The evening will be filled with great food, an incredible live auction and the opportunity to take home a trophy. Participants in the tournament will enjoy a fun day of golf, including a “hole-in-one car,” a “longest drive” and a putting contest. The golfing event will conclude with an awards reception and dinner at the Country Club.

“Both Jon and Eric Schotz are very deserving of this year’s Community Service Award,” said David Rainer, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. “Their continued leadership and contributions to both the Los Angeles business community and the West Valley Boys & Girls Club serve as important reminders that every individual can make a difference. California United Bank is dedicated to serving our community and honoring those who share that commitment.”

Mr. Rainer continued, “Over the past three years, CUB’s philanthropic involvement with the Boys and Girls Club has grown and we expect this year’s event to be another great success. We are grateful to Eric and Jon and to all our other players and sponsors for their commitment to such a worthy organization. By working together as a community, we will continue to help today’s young people become tomorrow’s citizens.”
